YOUTH PARTICIPATION FORUM - a focus on Youth Mentoring
Please mark in your diaries:
When: Tuesday 2nd October, 10am – 1pm (lunch will be provided)
Venue: Darebin Arts & Entertainment Centre, Cnr Bell St & St Georges Rd, Preston
Why? There is an increased interest and emphasis on youth participation across the youth sector, including youth mentoring programs. However, there is limited knowledge and experience of youth participation within the youth mentoring sector. Youth participation is a term that is used frequently and but often there is not a clear understanding of what it is, why we should be doing it, and how we can implement it within programs. Workers in the youth mentoring sector have articulated a need to have more practical information & tools of how to incorporate youth participation strategies into their programs.
