The VYMA is an incorporated, non-government, representative organisation of youth mentoring programs in Victoria.
The VYMA was established in 2005 in recognition that a formal structure was needed to provide support and coordination to the sector as it expands and matures. The Alliance started as a grassroots movement driven by a commitment to strengthening youth mentoring in Victoria.
In 2009 the Alliance moved into a new phase in its development. Today we have increased resources behind us resulting in the opportunity for positive growth and more focused support of youth mentoring. The VYMA has an ongoing commitment to responding to the interests and needs of the full range of its membership to ensure it is truly representative.
Our members represent the entire spread of youth mentoring programs operating in Victoria, including community and school based programs.
